THE SPARK45 DIFFERENCE
SPARK45 boutique style fitness classes in a welcome, community oriented setting. Our mission is to help anyone that enters are our doors to achieve their fitness and wellness goals. We feature LAGREE FITNESS on the patented Megaformer in our MEGA_SPARK Classes. We also have indoor cycling classes on KeiserM3i bikes. Lastly we offer a combo class that gets you the focus and intensity of Lagree condition and the cardiovascular intensity of indoor cycling.
SPARK45 is owned and managed by Danielle Bordenave, who is also a Physical Therapist. She is passionate about making classes obtainable and welcoming to everyone. Prior to opening SPARK45, she practiced as a physical therapist for over 10 years before also becoming a Lagree Fitness Instructor, Indoor Cycling Instructor, Health Coach, and Small Biz Owner.
ALL of the instructors at SPARK45 are officially Lagree certified and/or Indoor Cycling Certified. In addition, all instructors were first clients at the studio taking over 100 classes before attending certification class and starting to teach.

Our LAGREE FITNESS™ TRAINING METHOD is taught on an exclusive technology developed by fitness visionary, Sebastien Lagree. Physical fitness is more than being able to run a long distance or lift heavy weights at the gym; Physical fitness is more than how long you worked out or at what intensity. While these are important measures of fitness, they only address single areas. Overall fitness is made up of five basic elements. Where many workouts and exercise regimens work to integrate as many of these elements as possible, Lagree Fitness™ meets all the elements to physical fitness; not just in 1 session but in each and every move.
Each SPARK45 class can meet the demands of most clients from the high level athlete to the first time exercisers to everyone in the middle. For the first class, it is crucial (and required) to arrive 15 minutes prior to your class. This allow for the best experience and your safety. The MegaSPARK class is meant for all levels. We also offer SPARK_LITE, which is Lagree Fitness designed for the client over 60 or individual recovering from injury. This classes does not require the same degree of balance as the regular class as most moves are complete on the ground or in kneeling

INDOOR CYCLING
KEISERM3I in SPARK45 in Carpinteria
SPARK45 started with only teaching Lagree Fitness, but after being open for 1.5 years we expanded to also offer indoor cycling, commonly referred to as Spin. (We are not a SPIN studio, but all of our instructors have taken indoor cycling and/or SPIN training). Indoor cycling classes are high intensity cardiovascular work set to music. Classes are set to music to create a fun ride experience. The MORE people who come, the more fun we all have together.
SPARK45 feature the KeiserM3i indoor cycling bikes. These bikes have magnetic gears making them so smooth to pedal. In addition, the bike have a digital console so you know you speed, resistance, power, and distance each time you ride. In addition, you can download the KeiserM3i app to track your ride to see how you progress over time.
For safety we do require all clients to have water during all classes with a cycle segment.
YOGA
Align and Flow Class
Every time we step on to our mat, we have the precious opportunity to invite and invoke the nourishment that we need most to maintain balance in our lives. The daily practice of finding that peaceful midline in the midst of whatever life presents is the practice of YOGA. This gentle-paced, all levels, alignment-based, vinyasa flow (linking breath & movement) yoga class is designed for you to work directly with your breath to increase that nourishment and let go of any expectations you might have of yourself or your journey. Come as you are to fill your well through breathing practices, sweet vinyasa flow, meditation, and the nectar of life, one drop and one breath at a time.
Yoga LITE
Inspired by SPARK Lite and STAY Strong Classes, Jude was inspired to create Yoga Lite for ALL ages and ALL bodies. Focusing on SPARK45’s underlying foundation of healthy muscular/skeletal range of movement, class will focus on maintaining mobility, balance and strength through the lens of Physical Therapy and Yoga. The class will use blocks, chairs, straps and the wall to provide support and stability while moving in and out of asana (postures) and incorporating pranayama (stretching the breath) to create a subtle, deep, layered practice.
SPARK45 has all the equipment you need, and you are also welcome to bring your own.
STAY STRONG
This is one of our newest class! It is designed for clients transitoning from attending formal Physical Therapy to completing their Home Exercises at home, but prefer to do them in a group/office setting. Focusing on the clients who are 65+.
This class is a total body workout focusing on core, arms, legs, and cardio. It will utltize a mat, small weights, a chair, and resistance bands. This class will have some exercises complete on the ground, but those can be modified if a client is unable to get onto the ground.
